Walther Arms Lends Support to Rimfire Challenge with Sponsorship Renewal
NEWTOWN, Conn.— The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®) is pleased to announce that gunmaker Walther Arms has renewed its Bronze-level sponsorship of the NSSF Rimfire Challenge for the 2015 competition season. The U.S. arm of renowned German firearms firm Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen, Walther Arms produces a wide range of high-quality handguns and rifles, including an extensive lineup of tactical rimfire firearms.
Now in its second year, NSSF’s Rimfire Challenge program provides a way for novice shooters to experience their first competitions via a family friendly and highly supportive atmosphere. Matches utilize a 2-gun format of .22 LR handguns and rifles, making Rimfire Challenge an economical sport for new competitors. Focusing on both safety and fun, the competitions are open to all ages and skill levels, with matches hosted on ranges across the nation.
“We’re very pleased to have Walther join this tremendous effort to get new people involved in the shooting sports and competition,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Manager, Shooting Promotions. “This company is, without a doubt, an excellent fit for the Rimfire Challenge.”
Everett Deger, Director of Marketing for Walther, commented, “Sponsoring the Rimfire Challenge World Championship is certainly an exciting position to be in. It’s gratifying to see so many individuals and families enjoying the shooting sports together, and Walther feels it’s important to encourage them any way we can in this pursuit.”
The Rimfire Challenge World Championships take place Oct, 9-11 at the Old Fort Gun Club in Fort Smith, Arkansas. For more information on the Rimfire Challenge, how to participate in a Rimfire Challenge event or how to host an event at your range, click here.
