Law Offices of Gary B. Wells Named Bronze Sponsor of Firearm Industry Compliance Conference
NEWTOWN, Conn. — Orchid Advisors, the firearm industry’s trusted compliance and operations experts, and the National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms industry, are pleased to announce that the Law Offices of Gary B. Wells has agreed to sponsor the 2016 Firearms Industry Compliance Conference (FICC) at the Bronze level. Gary Wells provides legal services to firearms businesses and to consumers in need of protection and restoration of their individual rights to own firearms.
“The Firearms Industry Compliance Conference promises to deliver a broad perspective on compliance. We are pleased to have Gary Wells augment the operations and technology agenda with the regulatory expertise delivered by his legal office,” said Jon Rydberg, CEO of Orchid Advisors.
“We are excited to have Gary Wells join us as a sponsor of the 2016 Firearms Industry Compliance Conference,” said Lawrence Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “His understanding of today’s firearms laws and regulations and how they affect not only how our industry members do business, but also the consumer, means he brings unique and invaluable insight to the conference.”
“One of the greatest rewards as an attorney is working with innovative businesses to see them thrive despite the burdensome regulatory environment,” explained Mr. Wells. “Particularly with firearms businesses, thriving means being proactive in understanding and working within the regulatory system, rather than fighting against it later. These efforts are constantly competing with product innovations and customer ingenuity. Compliance experts such as Orchid Advisors, compliance conferences, and legal counsel are critical to helping guide businesses through the legal quagmire so they can concentrate on the reason they went into business.”
Co-hosted by Orchid Advisors and NSSF, the 2016 Firearms Industry Compliance Conference will take place May 2-4 in Atlanta, Georgia. The conference theme is highly focused on the future — where regulations are headed, how new developments in product research and development affect Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs), and what processes and technologies FFLs are using to significantly improve their business. Additionally, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) will provide focused sessions throughout the conference, offering FFLs an opportunity to interact, ask questions and focus on proactive compliance. In addition to three learning tracks to choose from during the conference, attendees can also take part in two pre-conference workshops on May 2. One workshop will cover firearms industry technology, while the other will take an in-depth look at federal firearms regulations.
Seating is limited for this conference and it will sell out, so industry members are encouraged to register now. To learn more about the 2016 Firearms Industry Compliance Conference, visit www.ficconference.com. Register and reserve your seat here.
